Opto-Isolator (2007: Golan Levin with Greg Baltus) inverts the condition of spectatorship by exploring the questions: “What if artworks could know how we were looking at them?”
Stripping everything away to leave a solo eye that follows your gaze and blinks one second after you do. Spooky.

Programmed entirely in Applesoft BASIC on a vintage 1979 Apple ][+ with 48K of RAM, a computer so old it has no hard drive or mouse and only types in capitals.

Some very cool things have been emerging from the openframeworks creative coding world. Unfold have created this virtual pottery wheel where visitors can turn and save their own creations similar to traditional coil building.
